Poipu

Poipū is a census-designated place in Kauai County on the southern side of the island of Kauai in the U.S. Escape the urban bustle at Poipu Beach Park and Shipwreck Beach. Step off the beaten path and head to Maha'ulepu Heritage Trail and Polihale State Park. Get out of town with these interesting Poipu side-trips: Canyon Trail (in Waimea) and Reef Guides Hawaii (in Princeville). Pāhoa is a census-designated place (CDP) in Hawai‘i County, Hawai‘i, United States located in the District of Puna. Do some cultural sightseeing at Jagger Museum and Volcano Garden Arts. Take a break from the city and head to Kīlauea and Kipuka Puaulu (Bird Park) Trail. Step out of Pahoa to go to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and see Napau-Makaopuhi Crater Trail, which is approximately 48 minutes away.
