West Glacier

West Glacier is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in eastern Flathead County, Montana, United States. Change things up with these side-trips from West Glacier: Glacier National Park (Going-to-the-Sun Road & Iceberg Lake Trail). Spend the 17th (Thu) exploring nature at Glacier National Park. There's still lots to do: let the river carry you with a rafting and tubing tour, explore the activities along Hidden Lake, and trek along Trail of the Cedars.

Big Sky is a census-designated place (CDP) in Gallatin and Madison counties in southwestern Montana. Beehive Basin Trail has been added to your itinerary. Start off your visit on the 18th (Fri): hit the slopes at Big Sky Resort, explore the different monuments and memorials at The Soldiers Chapel, then tour the pleasant surroundings at Beehive Basin Trail, and finally trek along Ousel Falls Trail.

Drive from West Glacier to Big Sky in 6.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of flight and car; or do a combination of train, bus, shuttle, and taxi. In June, Big Sky is little chillier than West Glacier - with highs of 69°F and lows of 35°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 19th (Sat) early enough to go by car to Gardiner.
