Albuquerque remains one of the state's secret jewels, as its tourist attractions are often overshadowed by the more popular holiday destination of Santa Fe.
Venture out of the city with trips to Bandelier National Monument (in Los Alamos), Santa Fe (Wiford Gallory and Sculpture Garden, Loretto Chapel, & more) and Cochiti Pueblo (Canyon Trail & Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monument). There's still lots to do: wander the streets of Albuquerque Old Town, pause for some serene contemplation at Capilla de Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe, examine the collection at New Mexico Steam Locomotive and Railroad Historical Society, and explore the striking landscape at Petroglyph National Monument.

Phoenix to Albuquerque is an approximately 3.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. In November, Albuquerque is little chillier than Phoenix - with highs of 59°F and lows of 36°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 8th (Fri) so you can travel to Oklahoma City.
