Surrounded by mountain ranges, forests, valleys, beaches, and deserts, the metropolitan area of Los Angeles is home to over 17 million people.
You'll enjoy a bit of beach vacationing at Venice Beach and Boardwalk and Will Rogers State Beach. Get some cultural insight at Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Revolver Gallery. Go for a jaunt from Los Angeles to Newport Beach to see Dolphin & Whale Watching about 56 minutes away. The largest city on the Mississippi River, Memphis bills itself as both the "Birthplace of Rock" and "Home of the Blues." With such a rich musical heritage, it shouldn't come as a surprise that Elvis Presley chose to live in Memphis during his later years.
On the 16th (Sun), steep yourself in history at Sun Studio, then appreciate the history behind National Civil Rights Museum - Lorraine Motel, then get to know the fascinating history of Beale Street, and finally look for gifts at Dinstuhl's Fine Candy Company, Inc.. On the next day, see the interesting displays at Graceland, learn more about the world around you at Ducks Unlimited Waterfowling Heritage Center, and then pick up a one of a kind souvenir at Covington's Historic Square.
