On the 2nd (Mon), get a new perspective on nature at Denver Museum of Nature & Science, wander the streets of 16th Street Mall, and then contemplate the long history of Denver Union Station. On the 3rd (Tue), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: contemplate the long history of Dinosaur Ridge, then engage your brain at Butterfly Pavilion and Insect Center, and then look for gifts at Tattered Cover Book Store Colfax.
