Albuquerque remains one of the state's secret jewels, as its tourist attractions are often overshadowed by the more popular holiday destination of Santa Fe.
Head to Tinkertown Museum and Skip Maisel'sfor some retail therapy. New Mexico Steam Locomotive and Railroad Historical Society and Indian Pueblo Cultural Center will appeal to museum buffs. Take a break from Albuquerque with a short trip to Sky City Cultural Center & Haak'u Museum in Pueblo of Acoma, about 1h 10 min away.
