In many ways much more Asian than American, Honolulu is Hawaii's largest city and its center of government, transportation, commerce, and tourism.
Kick off your visit on the 5th (Sun): explore the activities along Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve, then take in the pleasant sights at Diamond Head State Monument, and then browse the exhibits of USS Arizona Memorial. On the next day, take in the dramatic scenery at Manoa Falls and then kick back and relax at Waikiki Beach.
