Des Moines is the capital and the most populous city in the U.S. Kids will appreciate attractions like Adventureland Park and Science Center of Iowa & Blank IMAX Dome Theater. Get a sense of the local culture at Summerset Winery and Terrace Hill Foundation. Go for a jaunt from Des Moines to Winterset to see John Wayne Birthplace & Museum about 42 minutes away.
