The gateway to Utah's popular canyon country, Moab sits engulfed in the middle of desert wilderness.
Step off the beaten path and head to Castle Valley and Double O Arch. Head to Back of Beyond Book Store and Moab Rock Shopfor plenty of shopping. When in Moab, make a side trip to see Sand Dune Arch in Arches National Park, approximately 38 minutes away. And it doesn't end there: take in the dramatic natural features at Gemini Bridges, stroll through Park Avenue Trail, and explore the landscape on two wheels at Slickrock Bike Trail.

Louisville to Moab is an approximately 9-hour combination of flight and car. You can also drive; or take a bus. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 2 hours traveling from Louisville to Moab. Plan for a bit cooler nights when traveling from Louisville in October since evenings lows in Moab dip to 41°F. Start off your visit on the 8th (Mon): contemplate the waterfront views at McDonald Creek. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 9th (Tue): contemplate the waterfront views at Iceberg Lake and then explore the striking landscape at Grinnell Glacier.

Moose is an unincorporated community in Teton County, Wyoming, United States, in the Jackson Hole valley. Take a break from the city and head to Amphitheater Lake and Oxbow Bend Turnout, Grand Teton National Park. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Mangelsen Images of Nature and Cascade Canyon.
