Step out of the city life by going to Venice Beach and Boardwalk and Will Rogers State Beach. We've included these beaches for you: Hermosa Beach Pier and Santa Monica Beach. Take a break from Los Angeles with a short trip to Manhattan Beach in Manhattan Beach, about 36 minutes away. There's still lots to do: explore the activities along Santa Monica Bay, Head underground at Bronson Caves, wander the streets of Abbot Kinney Boulevard, and admire the landmark architecture of Walt Disney Concert Hall.

Relax by the water at La Jolla Cove and Children's Pool. Step out of the city life by going to Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve and Mission Beach Park. Step out of San Diego to go to Encinitas and see Self-Realization Fellowship Hermitage, which is approximately 32 minutes away. There's much more to do: meet the residents at San Diego Zoo, see the interesting displays at San Diego Model Railroad Museum, appreciate the history behind Cabrillo National Monument, and take in nature's colorful creations at Botanical Building and Lily Pond.
