Originally a frontier mining town, Durango is known today for its scenic setting, outdoor activities, and the 1880s steam-powered railway that takes visitors through sections of the mountains where roads don't reach.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Scenic Aperture Gallery and Earthen Vessel Gallery. Get outdoors at River Rafting & Tubing and Durango Hot Springs. The Town of Buena Vista is a Statutory Town in Chaffee County, Colorado, United States. Kick off your visit on the 18th (Sat): get great views at Collegiate Peaks Scenic Overlook, then make a trip to Interlaken Historic District, and then relax in the rural setting at Jumpin' Good Goat Dairy. Keep things going the next day: relax and float downstream with a rafting and tubing tour and then cruise along Monarch Pass.
