One of the country's most popular shopping destinations, Dallas and its sprawling suburbs include more shopping centers per capita than any other urban center in America.
Fort Worth Botanic Garden and Top O'Hill Terrace will appeal to history buffs. Visiting Frontier Park and Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center will get you outdoors. Venture out of the city with trips to Black Beauty Ranch (in Murchison), Mineola Nature Preserve (in Mineola) and East Texas Gators and Wildlife Park (in Grand Saline).
