Emerald City

Nicknamed the "Emerald City" because of its abundant evergreen trees, Seattle is the cultural and business center of the Pacific Northwest, as well as a popular holiday destination.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Seattle: Tacoma (Tacoma Art Museum, 5 Mile Drive & Trails, &more) and Olympic National Park (Lena Lakes & Murhut Falls). There's still lots to do: view the masterpieces at Chihuly Garden and Glass, admire the masterpieces at Seattle Art Museum, enjoy the sand and surf at Alki Beach, and get to know the resident critters at Woodland Park Zoo.
