Tybee Island is a city and barrier island located in Chatham County, Georgia, 18 miles (29 km) east of Savannah, United States. Take a break from the city and head to Dolphin & Whale Watching and North Beach. You'll get in some beach time at Savannah River Beach and Back River Beach. Get out of town with these interesting Tybee Island side-trips: Saint Simons Island (St Simons Presbyterian Church, Stand-Up Paddleboarding, & more) and Rose Hill Mansion (in Bluffton).
