Honolulu, Oahu

Big Pineapple

In many ways much more Asian than American, Honolulu is Hawaii's largest city and its center of government, transportation, commerce, and tourism.
Step off the beaten path and head to Swim with Dolphins and Makapuu Lighthouse Trail. Your itinerary includes some good beach time at Kailua Beach Park and Lanikai Beach. Step out of Honolulu with an excursion to Lanikai Pillboxes in Kailua--about 34 minutes away. Next up on the itinerary: hike along Koko Crater Railway Trail, get engrossed in the history at USS Arizona Memorial, meet some fierce fish with a shark diving experience, and get great views at Puu Ualakaa State Park.

To see reviews, more things to do, maps, and more tourist information, read our Honolulu planning app.
