Avila Beach is an unincorporated community in San Luis Obispo County, California, United States, located on San Luis Obispo Bay about 160 miles (257 km) northwest of Los Angeles, and about 200 miles south of San Francisco. Start off your visit on the 10th (Mon): look for gifts at Alapay Cellars, then identify plant and animal life at Wildlife Areas, and then explore the landscape on two wheels at Bob Jones City to Sea Bike Trail.
