Great Falls — 4 nights

Great Falls is a city in and the county seat of Cascade County, Montana, United States. Great Falls is known for historic sites, museums, and nature. Your trip includes some of its best attractions: get to know the fascinating history of Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center, admire the engineering at Ryan Dam - Great Falls of the Missouri, contemplate the waterfront views at Sacagawea Springs, and admire the majestic nature at Giant Springs State Park.

Havre is the county seat and largest town in Hill County, Montana, in the United States. When in Havre, make a side trip to see Bear Paw Battlefield in Chinook, approximately Chinook away. Chattanooga — 5 nights

Once saddled with the reputation of being one of the country's dirtiest cities, Chattanooga now boasts a pedestrian-friendly downtown with a network of leafy waterfront trails and free electric shuttles.
Step out of Chattanooga to go to Ocoee and see River Rafting & Tubing, which is approximately 54 minutes away. There's still lots to do: explore the fascinating underground world of Ruby Falls, get great views at Rock City, take in the awesome beauty at Lookout Mountain, and get outside with Outdoor Activities.

You can fly from Whitefish to Chattanooga in 8 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of train and bus. Traveling from Whitefish to Chattanooga, you'll lose 2 hours due to the time zone difference. When traveling from Whitefish in August, plan for somewhat warmer days and much warmer nights in Chattanooga: temperatures range from 89°F by day to 70°F at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 26th (Thu) so you can catch the flight back home.
