The 2.43 million hectares (6 million acres) of Denali National Park include low taiga forest, high-alpine tundra, and snowcapped mountains, all of which lead up to Mt.Change things up with these side-trips from Denali National Park and Preserve: Talkeetna (Byers Lake & Alaskan War Veterans Memorial) and Denali State Park (in Trapper Creek). Spend the 10th (Wed) exploring at Wonder Lake. Spend the 12th (Fri) exploring the striking scenery along Denali Highway. There's much more to do: take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Denali, hike along Triple Lakes Trail, explore and take pictures at Mc Kinley Park Rd, and relax and float downstream with a rafting and tubing tour.
