Do your shopping at Two Rodeo Drive and Bergamot Station. Popular historic sites such as Santa Monica Pier and Ocean Avenue are in your itinerary. Pack the 2nd (Wed) with family-friendly diversions at Disneyland Park. There's lots more to do: shop like a local with Third Street Promenade, look and learn at Griffith Observatory, don't miss a visit to Montana Avenue, and get to know the fascinating history of Hollywood Walk of Fame.

You can fly from Los Angeles to San Francisco in 3 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. In October, San Francisco is little chillier than Los Angeles - with highs of 26°C and lows of 15°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 11th (Fri) to allow enough time to fly to Las Vegas.
