City by the Sea

Visiting Cliff Walk and Cape Cod National Seashore will get you outdoors. Step off the beaten path and head to National Monument to the Forefathers and Portsmouth Historical Society. Get out of town with these interesting Newport side-trips: Lizzie Borden House (in Fall River), Nobska Point Lighthouse (in Woods Hole) and Shining Sea Bikeway (in Falmouth). There's lots more to do: see the interesting displays at Rough Point Museum, steep yourself in history at Fort Adams State Park, and take a memorable drive along Ocean Drive Historic District.
