A big city with a small-town feel, Portland is home to the country's biggest rose test garden, perched on a hill overlooking downtown.
Take a break from the city and head to Multnomah Falls and Sokol Blosser Winery. Visit Columbia River Highway and Northwest (Nob Hill) for their historical value.
