City of Bridges

Known primarily for its steel-related heritage and 446 bridges, Pittsburgh sits at the confluence of the Monongahela and Allegheny Rivers, which meet to form the Ohio River.
Change things up with these side-trips from Pittsburgh: Flight 93 National Memorial (in Stoystown), Jager and Friends Dog Park (in Somerset) and Flight 93 Memorial Chapel (in Stonycreek Township). Pack the 10th (Mon) with family-friendly diversions at Idlewild & SoakZone. There's much more to do: contemplate the long history of Fallingwater, see the interesting displays at Warther Museum, stop by Strip District, and admire the masterpieces at The Andy Warhol Museum.

In July, plan for daily highs up to 82°F, and evening lows to 65°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 16th (Sun) early enough to travel back home.
