Popular historic sites such as San Felipe de Neri Church and Albuquerque Old Town are in your itinerary. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to New Mexico Steam Locomotive and Railroad Historical Society and Museum of Indian Arts & Culture. Change things up with these side-trips from Albuquerque: Santa Fe (Wind River Trading Company, Palace of the Governors, & more), Sky City Cultural Center & Haak'u Museum (in Pueblo of Acoma) and Pecos National Historical Park (in Pecos). There's still lots to do: learn more about the world around you at New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science and see the interesting displays at Anderson-Abruzzo International Balloon Museum.
