Surrounded by mountain ranges, forests, valleys, beaches, and deserts, the metropolitan area of Los Angeles is home to over 17 million people.
We've included these beaches for you: Venice Beach and Boardwalk and Playa Del Rey Beach. Take a break from the city and head to Will Rogers State Beach and El Pueblo de Los Angeles. Change things up with a short trip to Montana Avenue in Santa Monica (about 36 minutes away). There's still lots to do: see the interesting displays at The Getty Center, stroll the grounds of Hollywood Forever Cemetery, wander the streets of Hancock Park, and steep yourself in history at Monastery of the Angels.
