Divided into neighborhoods with distinct characters and cultural heritages, San Diego sits just north of the Mexican border and offers visitors a blend of tourist attractions, including a lively nightlife, diverse cuisine, and a thriving musical scene.
Get in touch with nature at Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve and Pacific Beach. Fort Rosecrans Cemetery and USS Midway Museum are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Get out of town with these interesting San Diego side-trips: Dolphin & Whale Watching (in Oceanside), Del Mar City Beach (in Del Mar) and Temecula (Leoness Cellars & Old Town Temecula). There's lots more to do: tour the pleasant surroundings at Coronado Beach, kick back and relax at South Carlsbad State Beach, look for gifts at Cousin's Candy Shops, and pause for some photo ops at The Unconditional Surrender.

Muscat, Oman to San Diego is an approximately 22-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train; or do a combination of flight, bus, and train. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 12 hours traveling from Muscat to San Diego. In June, San Diego is cooler than Muscat - with highs of 26°C and lows of 20°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 21st (Sun) early enough to go by car to Los Angeles.
