Rocky Mountain High

Known as a ski resort town, Aspen's history goes back to its roots as a silver-mining village tucked away in an isolated valley of the Rocky Mountains.
Your day by day itinerary now includes Aspen Snowmass. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Aspen Mountain / Ajax and Buttermilk Mountain. Get in touch with nature at Aspen Highlands and Devil's Punchbowl. And it doesn't end there: tour the pleasant surroundings at Aspen Skiing Company, look for all kinds of wild species at Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness Area, pause for some photo ops at The John Denver Sanctuary, and fly down the slopes at Krabloonik Dogsled Rides.

To find where to stay, other places to visit, reviews, and more tourist information, refer to the Aspen trip tool.
