Mile-High City

Aptly nicknamed the "Mile-High City," Denver sits at an altitude of 1,600 m (5,280 ft) above sea level, located right where the Great Plains give way to the Rocky Mountains.
You'll visit kid-friendly attractions like Garden of the Gods and Mount Evans. Change things up with these side-trips from Denver: Shadow Mountain Gallery (in Evergreen), Mini Incline (in Castle Rock) and Colorado Springs (Battlefield Colorado, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, &more). And it doesn't end there: learn about wildlife with up-close encounters at Denver Zoo, take a stroll through 16th Street Mall, cruise along Trail Ridge Road, and explore the world behind art at Denver Art Museum.

Start your trip to Denver by creating a personalized itinerary on Inspirock.

Home Of Mount Rushmore

Fewer than 400 people call Keystone home year-round, but the population explodes in summer when crowds flock to nearby Mount Rushmore.
You've now added Mount Rushmore National Memorial to your itinerary. Kick off your visit on the 8th (Sat): stop by Goodtyme Photo, then stroll through Presidential Trail, then stroll through Mount Rushmore National Memorial, and finally go deep underground at Big Thunder Gold Mine. Keep things going the next day: try for a hole-in-one at Holy Terror Mini Golf, examine the collection at National Presidential Wax Museum, and then find something for the whole family at Rushmore Tramway Adventures.
