Fremont is a city in and the county seat of Sandusky County, Ohio, United States, located about 40 miles from Toledo. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Black Swamp Bird Observatory and Collier (Howard) State Nature Preserve. Take a break from the city and head to B&O Bike Trail and Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge. Get out of town with these interesting Fremont side-trips: Mansfield (Squirrel's Den, Apple Hill Orchard, & more), Lowe Volk Nature Center (in Crestline) and Port Clinton (Ottawa County Museum, Fisherman's Wharf, & more). There's still lots to do: stroll through Lawrence Woods State Nature Preserve, pick up a one of a kind souvenir at Jeffrey's Antique Gallery, explore the activities along White Star Quarry, and head outdoors with Hardin County's Old Order Amish Country.

In April, plan for daily highs up to 58°F, and evening lows to 40°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 30th (Tue) early enough to travel back home.
