The largest city on the Mississippi River, Memphis bills itself as both the "Birthplace of Rock" and "Home of the Blues." With such a rich musical heritage, it shouldn't come as a surprise that Elvis Presley chose to live in Memphis during his later years.
Your day by day itinerary now includes The Carriage Company as well as Shelby Farms Stables. You'll explore and learn at Graceland and Stax Museum of American Soul Music. Metal Museum and Mud Island are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Your day by day itinerary now includes Grand Ole Opry as well as The Adventure Park at Nashville. Take a break from the city and head to Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park and Radnor Lake State Park. Let the collections at Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum and The George Jones capture your imagination. When in Nashville, make a side trip to see Wild Cave Tour in Mammoth Cave National Park, approximately Mammoth Cave National Park away. Just a short drive from the national park protecting the diverse plant and animal life of the Great Smoky Mountains, the town features numerous places to visit, such as bars, restaurants, cafes, theaters, and shops.
