Munising is a city on the southern shore of Lake Superior on the Upper Peninsula of the U.S. Get out of town with these interesting Munising side-trips: Fayette Historic State Park (in Garden) and Manistique (Kitch-Iti-Kipi (The Big Spring) & Palms Book State Park). Spend the 11th (Thu) exploring nature at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. There's lots more to do: explore the striking landscape at Miners Castle Rock, take in the dramatic scenery at Miners Falls, get engrossed in the history at Pictured Rocks Interpretive Center, and putt your heart out at Miners Falls Mini Golf.
