Monument Valley

— 23 nights
Monument Valley is a region of the Colorado Plateau characterized by a cluster of vast sandstone buttes, the largest reaching 1000ft above the valley floor. Get outdoors at Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park and Horseback Riding Tours. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Moki Dugway and Spider Rock. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Monument Valley: Kayenta (Church Rock, Navajo Cultural Center, &more), Elephant's Feet (in Tonalea Coconino County) and Shonto (Navajo National Monument & Keet Seel Navajo National Monument). Spend the 16th (Wed) exploring nature at Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. There's lots more to do: tour the pleasant surroundings at Wildcat Trail, stroll around Sandstone Tours, admire all the interesting features of Utah State Route 95, and examine the collection at Goulding’s Trading Post Museum..
