Chihuly Garden and Glass and Seattle Art Museum are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Get outdoors at Lower Big Quilcene Trail and Mount Walker. Explore Seattle's surroundings by going to Olympic National Park (Mount Ellinor & Hood Canal), Staircase Rapids Nature Trail (in Hoodsport) and The Golf Club At Newcastle (in Newcastle). Dedicate the 4th (Sun) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. The adventure continues: take a leisurely stroll along Hiram M. Chittenden Locks, identify plant and animal life at West Hybloes Wetlands Park, get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at Point Defiance Park, and stroll through Discovery Park.

Get a sense of the local culture at Timberline Lodge and Ski Area and Pittock Mansion. Step out of the city life by going to Ecola State Park and Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area.
