Nicknamed the "Emerald City" because of its abundant evergreen trees, Seattle is the cultural and business center of the Pacific Northwest, as well as a popular holiday destination.
Visit Bruce Lee Grave Site and Pioneer Square for their historical value. Chihuly Garden and Glass and Pike Place Market are good opportunities to explore the local culture. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Seattle: Tacoma (Museum of Glass & LeMay - America's Car Museum). There's still lots to do: examine the collection at The Museum of Flight, take a leisurely stroll along Hiram M. Chittenden Locks, walk around Kerry Park, and take in panoramic vistas at Sky View Observatory.

Step out of Friday Harbor with an excursion to Orcas Island Pottery in Eastsound--about 1h 15 min away.
