Baltimore — 24 nights

City of Firsts

A major center for tourism and travel, Baltimore is famous as the city where amateur poet Francis Scott Key wrote the lyrics for the United States' national anthem.
Venture out of the city with trips to Arlington (Arlington National Cemetery, Pentagon Memorial, &more), Oregon Ridge Park (in Cockeysville) and Washington DC (United States Capitol, Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, &more). Spend the 17th (Sat) exploring nature at Harpers Ferry National Historical Park. Pack the 10th (Sat) with family-friendly diversions at The Adventure Park at Sandy Spring. There's much more to do: try your luck at Horseshoe Casino, sample the fine beverages at Sagamore Spirit Distillery, explore the striking landscape of Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine, and see where the action happens at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.
