Nicknamed the "Entertainment Capital of the World," Las Vegas sits in the middle of a desert in the southern section of Nevada.
Shop till you drop at The Strip and The Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian Resort. Change things up with these side-trips from Las Vegas: Hoover Dam (in Boulder City) and Willow Beach (in Fort Mohave). On the 14th (Fri), do a day of sightseeing from above with a helicopter tour.
