Get out of town with these interesting Los Angeles side-trips: Anaheim (Disneyland Park & Disney California Adventure Park). Pack the 26th (Wed) with family-friendly diversions at Universal Studios Hollywood. The adventure continues: see the interesting displays at The Getty Center, admire the striking features of Walt Disney Concert Hall, get engrossed in the history at Autry Museum of the American West, and immerse yourself in nature at Topanga State Park.

Explore Las Vegas' surroundings by going to Hoover Dam (in Boulder City) and Valley of Fire State Park (in Overton). Plan for little chillier temperatures traveling from Los Angeles in December, with highs in Las Vegas at 16°C and lows at 4°C. For most people, any mention of Orlando immediately conjures up images of sprawling theme parks filled with characters plucked right out of popular animated movies.
Have a day of magic on the 10th (Thu) at Walt Disney World Resort. Have a day of magic on the 13th (Sun) at Magic Kingdom Park. And it doesn't end there: get in on the family fun at Universal Orlando Resort, stop by World of Chocolate Museum and Cafe, try out the rides at Discovery Cove, and take in a show at Happily Ever After Fireworks.
