You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Lock & Load Miami and Walking tours. Visit Cape Florida Lighthouse and Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum for their historical value. Get out of town with these interesting Miami side-trips: The Butler House ~ Deerfield Beach Historical Society (in Deerfield Beach), Delaware Scrub Natural Area (in Jupiter) and Loggerhead Marinelife Center (in Juno Beach). The largest city on the Mississippi River, Memphis bills itself as both the "Birthplace of Rock" and "Home of the Blues." With such a rich musical heritage, it shouldn't come as a surprise that Elvis Presley chose to live in Memphis during his later years.
You'll discover tucked-away gems like Slave Haven / Burkle Estate Museum and Memphis Rock 'n' Soul Museum. Popular historic sites such as Elvis Presley Birthplace & Museum and The Peabody Ducks are in your itinerary. Change things up with a short trip to Tupelo Automobile Museum in Tupelo (about 1h 55 min away).
