Carmel-by-the-Sea, often simply called Carmel, is a city in Monterey County, California, United States, founded in 1902 and incorporated on October 31, 1916. Do your shopping at Steven Whyte's Sculpture Studio and Gallery and Gallery by the Sea Carmel. Carmel Art Association and Casa Serrano, Historic Adobe will appeal to museum buffs. There's lots more to do: kick back and relax at Point Lobos, stroll through Carmel River State Beach, play a few rounds at Pebble Beach Golf Links, and stop by Monterey's Tasty Olive Bar.
