Get out of town with these interesting Stowe side-trips: Burlington (Church Street Marketplace, Waterfront Park, &more), Four Quarters Brewing (in Winooski) and Morse Farm Maple Sugarworks (in Montpelier). And it doesn't end there: tour the pleasant surroundings at Stowe Recreation Path, discover the riches below the earth's surface at Rock of Ages Granite Quarry, steep yourself in history at Shelburne Farms, and immerse yourself in nature at Mt. Philo State Park.

Denver to Stowe is an approximately 5.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a train. The time zone changes from Mountain Standard Time (MST) to Eastern Standard Time (EST), which is usually a 2 hour difference. When traveling from Denver in August, plan for slightly colder days in Stowe, with highs around 78°F, while nights are about the same with lows around 55°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 2nd (Fri) so you can drive to Saint Johnsbury.

Drive from Stowe to Saint Johnsbury in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive. In September, daytime highs in Saint Johnsbury are 72°F, while nighttime lows are 49°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 4th (Sun) early enough to drive to Quechee.

Quechee is a census-designated place and one of five unincorporated villages in the town of Hartford, Windsor County, Vermont, United States. Step out of Quechee to go to Ascutney and see Ascutney State Park, which is approximately 42 minutes away.
