Known internationally as the "Horse Capital of the World," Lexington boasts a thriving economy resting largely on its thoroughbred racehorse industry.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Kentucky Horse Park and Woodford Reserve Distillery. Step out of Lexington with an excursion to Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort--about 44 minutes away. There's lots more to do: surround yourself with nature on a nature and wildlife tour, experience rural life at Taylor Made Farm, try your luck at Keeneland, and sample the tasty concoctions at Lexington Brewing & Distilling Co..

Montreal, Canada to Lexington is an approximately 8-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of train, car, and bus. Step out of Orange Beach to go to Point Clear and see Confederate Rest Cemetery, which is approximately 44 minutes away.
