You can do a combination of ferry and car from Mackinac Island to Paradise in 3 hours. Another option is to do a combination of ferry, bus, and taxi. Traveling from Mackinac Island in September, Paradise is little chillier at night with lows of 49°F. On the 15th (Sun), you'll travel to Sault Ste. Marie.

Sault Ste. Venture out of the city with trips to Point Iroquois Lighthouse (in Brimley) and Crisp Point Lighthouse (in Newberry). There's still lots to do: make a trip to Soo Locks, get to know the fascinating history of Water Street Historic Block, stop by Bird's Eye Outfitters, and pause for some serene contemplation at Holy Name of Mary Church.

You can drive from Paradise to Sault Ste. Marie in 1.5 hours. In September, plan for daily highs up to 70°F, and evening lows to 51°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 22nd (Sun) so you can go by car to Naubinway.
