A big city with a small-town feel, Portland is home to the country's biggest rose test garden, perched on a hill overlooking downtown.
Venture out of the city with trips to Multnomah Falls (in Bridal Veil), Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum (in McMinnville) and Cannon Beach (Ecola State Park & Haystack Rock). There's much more to do: take in nature's colorful creations at Portland Japanese Garden, make a trip to Pioneer Courthouse Square, savor the flavors at Food & Drink, and admire the striking features of Pittock Mansion.

A town that survives on the sea, Newport's population of just over 10,000 supports a healthy commercial fishing industry.
Take a break from Newport with a short trip to Yachats coastline in Yachats, about 34 minutes away. There's lots more to do: look for all kinds of wild species at Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area, look for gifts at Made in Oregon, get curious at Hatfield Marine Science Center, and take in the waterfront at Newport's Historic Bayfront.

Klamath Falls

Klamath Falls is a city in and the county seat of Klamath County, Oregon, United States. Take a break from Klamath Falls with a short trip to River Rafting & Tubing in Ashland, about 1h 25 min away.
