Durango

— 26 nights
Originally a frontier mining town, Durango is known today for its scenic setting, outdoor activities, and the 1880s steam-powered railway that takes visitors through sections of the mountains where roads don't reach.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Durango: Pagosa Springs (Wolf Creek Ski Resort, Rocky Mountain Wildlife Park, &more), Aztec (Aztec Ruins National Monument & Aztec Museum and Pioneer Village) and Silverton (Million Dollar Highway, Silverton Powdercats, &more). And it doesn't end there: see Off-Road Tours, hit the slopes at The Snowbike Experience, take a pleasant ride with a tour on horseback, and get a dose of the wild on Durango Dog Ranch.
