Flagstaff

— 27 nights

City of Seven Wonders

Sitting at an elevation of 2,135 m (7,000 ft) and just a short trip from the Grand Canyon and other natural wonders, the city of Flagstaff attracts outdoor enthusiasts from around the world.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Amitabha Stupa & Peace Park and Fay Canyon Trail. Popular historic sites such as Jerome State Historic Park and V-Bar-V Heritage Site are in your itinerary. Explore Flagstaff's surroundings by going to Dead Horse Ranch State Park (in Cottonwood), Sedona (Soldier Pass, Brin's Mesa Trail, &more) and Elephant's Feet (in Tonalea Coconino County). Spend the 12th (Mon) exploring nature at Red Mountain Trail. And it doesn't end there: stroll through Hermit Trail, see the interesting displays at Museum of Northern Arizona, take some stellar pictures from Grandview Point, and learn about all things military at Fort Tuthill Military Museum.

In October, daytime highs in Flagstaff are 65°F, while nighttime lows are 33°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 8th (Sun) early enough to travel back home.
