Wilmington is the largest city in the state of Delaware, United States, built on the site of Fort Christina, the first Swedish settlement in North America. Get some historical perspective at Nemours Mansion & Gardens and Fort Delaware State Park. Venture out of the city with trips to Dover (SIlver Lake Park, Air Mobility Command Museum, & more), Chespeake & Delaware Branch Canal (in Delaware City) and Middletown (Filasky's Produce, Levels Road Dog Park, & more). The adventure continues: look for all kinds of wild species at Ashland Nature Center, steep yourself in history at Read House and Gardens, take an in-depth tour of Amstel House Museum and Gardens, and ponder the world of politics at New Castle Court House.
