Nicknamed the "Emerald City" because of its abundant evergreen trees, Seattle is the cultural and business center of the Pacific Northwest, as well as a popular holiday destination.
Kids will appreciate attractions like Space Needle and Hiram M. Chittenden Locks. Get in touch with nature at Murhut Falls and Lake Cushman. Explore Seattle's surroundings by going to Olympic National Park (Hood Canal & Mount Ellinor), Tolmie State Park (in Olympia) and Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (in Tacoma). Dedicate the 27th (Sat) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. Get some historical perspective at Fanthorp Inn State Historic Site and Downtown Historic District Market Square. Kids will enjoy Houston Zoo and Sylvan Beach Park.
