Located just 140 km (90 mi) from Cuba, Key West is an island only about 6.4 km (4 mi) long and 1.6 km (1 mi) wide.
Step out of the city life by going to Key West Wildlife Center and Dolphin & Whale Watching. Discover out-of-the-way places like Key West Garden Club and St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Spend the 4th (Mon) exploring nature at Dry Tortugas National Park. Prepare for much hotter weather when traveling from Atlanta in January: high temperatures in Key West hover around 76°F and lows are around 66°F. Heart of the Florida Keys

A tiny city just 16 km (10 mi) long, Marathon is spread across several islands in the middle of the Florida Keys.
Take a break from the city and head to Crane Point Museum & Nature Center and Scuba & Snorkeling.
