Nicknamed the "Emerald City" because of its abundant evergreen trees, Seattle is the cultural and business center of the Pacific Northwest, as well as a popular holiday destination.
Venture out of the city with trips to Olympic National Park (Lena Lakes, Murhut Falls, &more), Tacoma (5 Mile Drive & Trails, Point Defiance Park, &more) and Skansie Brothers Park (in Gig Harbor). Nicknamed the "Entertainment Capital of the World," Las Vegas sits in the middle of a desert in the southern section of Nevada.
Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Las Vegas: Boulder City (Boulder City/Hoover Dam Museum & Hoover Dam). On the 17th (Wed), do a day of sightseeing from above with a helicopter tour. There's much more to do: take in breathtaking views at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, admire the local landmark of Fountains of Bellagio, take in panoramic vistas at High Roller, and see the interesting displays at The Mob Museum.
