Nestled in the lush, wooded forests of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Gatlinburg is Tennessee’s premier mountain resort destination.
Venture out of the city with trips to Balloon Rides (in Candler), Clingmans Dome (in Great Smoky Mountains National Park) and Asheville (Asheville Bee Charmer & Biltmore). There's still lots to do: sample the fine beverages at Sugarlands Distilling Company, take in the dramatic scenery at Ramsey Cascades, walk around Greenbrier Picnic Area, and take a memorable drive along Newfound Gap Road.
