Set deep in the Ouachita Mountains, the city of Hot Springs almost completely surrounds the national park of the same name.
Kick off your visit on the 26th (Thu): look for gifts at Bathhouse Soapery and then delve into the lush surroundings at Ouachita National Forest. On the 27th (Fri), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: trek along Grand Promenade, admire the majestic nature at Lake Catherine State Park, and then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Anthony Chapel.

Nestled in the heart of the Ozark Mountains, the whole town of Eureka Springs is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
